He has not beaten any one of no.2 rightly, but has he not played a no.2 till now either.
And Nadal lost to someone below 50. Although that was on hard court. For some funny reason, that man is just the man Nadal plays in round 1 !

We're talking about clay courts. Nadal's game is very different on hard court and grass. Andy hasn't had the chance... but by facts and figures Rafa's got this one in the bag. You have to admit that it's his best surface and if he can beat Roger Federer in a 4 setter on his first appearence to RG then think about it... Let's see if Andy proves me wrong. |

By no means would I suggest that Nadal would definitely beat Murray, or easily, but a betting man would go with the guy who's got the better record.

That's a valid point.. but before i go saying how somone i hugely respect will beat someone ranked 39 places higher.. i look at facts. Dont ever want to argue with you Great! Me neither! We have out differences  ...makes it all the more interesting to discuss them! |

I'd love to see an upset, but Nadal is world number 2 and I think Andy's game won't hurt Nadal much. Andy has always had a hard time against people with low UE counts (Shutler, Hewitt - although he came through both, but Nadal is better), and the way to beat Nadal isn't with different spins (i mean Fed loses all the time to him), it's hard-hitting like Blake, Berdych etc.
My hope is that at least Murray can get a set here. You never know though, I'm still not sure if Nadal is back to his best after injury, and pehaps he'll be more rusty on clay than Andy.
