Murray vs Roddick ** [Official Topic] **

Quote

Roddick has the worst backhand in top 50, and at net, he can only hit high volleys well, anything low he's complete pathetic at. To be honest, it wouldn't suprise me if Roddick dropped to about 8 in the world this year.

Also, remember Roddick played the Davis cup last weekend, he's going to be a little tired (hopefully)

Roddick relies too much on his serve, take his serve away, he is vunerable just ask Henman. Perhaps Murray should ask for some advice from the old master. The key is the return of serve and gettin to net where ever possible. plus roddick said he felt exhausted after his match the other day. I don't think roddick has played his best since brad went if anything he has go bk a few steps.

Good luck andy mate please get off to a good start. I am so please u have got this far and got ur feistiness bk however it would be really good if u could play hewitt.

I think Andy M has a real good chance to beat Roddick, he's already proven he can push the top players. No one is unbeatable.

Andy proved against Ginepri that the big serve doesnt faze and Gonzalez was also another power player. Murray may lose but I bet it wont be a whitewash

If Murray keeps in contention in the early going and keeps the pressure on we could have another match like the 4th round at the aussie open. A-rod doesn't play the big points as we seen in the baghdatis match, he won more points than marcos even though he lost 3-1? (117-116) A-rod lost his bottle in that match and marcos had no fear, so if murray goes in with the same attitude which we know hes has in abundance, then hes got a golden opportunity which would surely be the biggest win of his short career.

Marcos on the day hit some fantastic winners and has huge shots especially on the forehand which somewhat nulified a-rods forehand , but IF murray can keep the unforced errors down and imploy his variety of shots it could get to a-rod like it did to Safin in the match they played, which he took a set of Safin. It might sound like im clutching at straws but i think i've justified £50's worth of bets.

I know if he wasn't british he would get odds of 4-1 possibly 5-1 and im putting my money where my mouth is, even though hes just 11/4 for the match or set betting (2-0) 8-1 and (2-1) 13/2 (set betting is obviously better) or 11-1 for the title which i also believe he can win.

Im guna call it, 7-6 6-4 to murray or 6-7 7-6 6-4/3 lol
