Murray/Lendl end partnership for the third time

The pair have mutually agreed to part ways before Andy builds up towards the 2024 season.  The time which they have spent together this season has been largely limited to the Grand Slam events.   British duo Mark Hilton and Jonny O'Mara, who have been working alongside Lendl this year, will share coaching duties going forward.

"I will look back with some great memories of the time Andy and I worked together," Lendl said.  "He's as hard a worker as there is and the sport is better because of him.  I wish him only the best in the years to come."

Andy will begin the 2024 season at the Brisbane International which starts on 31st December.

Aww that is sad, I feel Andy does better with him in his corner, and his outbursts are non existent. I personally don't think Mark Hilton or Jonny O'Mara has been any good with helping Andy, just my opinion.

Andy does seem more collected and determined with Lendl in the box. However, if this only happens for the GS (where he performed quite well this year,  then it will not be of any great help for a whole season. At least, O‘Mara is a vocal supporter in the matches I have seen.
The bottom-line for me is Andy keeps going and has plans for another year (?).

Maybe Hilton and O'Mara will do better without Lendl's intervention.  As I see it, Lendl's main purpose was to help Andy win Slams, something which isn't going to happen now, so the focus has to be on winning minor tournaments and I'm not sure Lendl would want to come down to that level on a permanent basis.  Too many conflicting opinions could be to blame here for Andy's recent poor performances.
