Who is treating you as a different race??? And I don't see anyone being anti English - it was just a query to a remark that omitted Scotland, Ireland and Wales in remembering Andy's Wimbledon win which wrangles a bit given that Andy is such a proud Scotsman. |

There are some geneticists who believe that the Jews are a race. However. Hitler was usually referred to as being anti-Semitic. I think you will find the dictionary defines race as being different to nationality. The word is used loosely but that doesn't necessarily make it correct. |

The thing is that there are no pure races. So when prejudice appears the key thing driving it is often some perception of cultural difference. Nation is one basis for some types, but there are many others. Eg tribal, language,. The culture is key, largely because there are no purely racial grounds upon which a racism could be sustained.
