Newport R2 - Andy Murray vs Max Purcell

Following Andy's emphatic win yesterday, beating Sam Querrey 6/2, 6/0, he plays Max Purcell in the next round.  Max Purcell is an Australian player and is a very successful in doubles. He won the 2022 Wimbledon doubles title with his partner Matthew Ebden.  Purcell was ranked 156 on the 22nd April, in singles. He plays right handed with a 2 handed backhand and is coached by Nathan Haley. In reaching this round he defeated Adrian Mannarino
This is the first time Andy and Purcell have played each other.
Yesterday the wind adversely affected many players in Rhode Island.

The match is scheduled to take place at 5:30pm BST.  The match  time can never be guaranteed so it's advisable to check so as not to miss it!

Apollo has been in touch to say Jack Sock has just started the 3rd set in his match.
I'm guessing therefore that Andy's match will be at roughly 6.10pm.

FYI, if the weather up the coast in Rhode Island is anything like it is down here in NYC, it's pretty hot today, although I think the wind's less of a factor than it was yesterday.
