I agree with Andy. If you don't embrace meaningful change, you atrophy. That applies to tennis as well as life.
No service "lets" for me. Just get on with it! If the ball trickles over the net, well hard cheese!

^ I'm also surprised that Andy is supporting these changes, I think the rules should stay as they are, after all why change a good thing which has always worked well.
I agree. The last time changes were made was in the early 1970s, which was to introduce the tiebreak in order to shorten matches, and that caused quite a fuss at the time amongst tennis players everywhere. I disliked it then, and I still dislike it, although given how much more physical tennis has become I suppose that could be an argument for having it.
However I agree with @BBH that service 'lets' should go. After all, balls which hit the netcord during play and go in are acceptable.

I recall Mac saying that and thought it was ridiculous, so well done to Andy for putting him firmly in his place! Winning three Slams is a great achievement but to win two consecutive Olympic golds is far more prestigious, yet the sad fact is that Mac isn't the only person who thinks that Slams are the be all and end all of every players' tennis career. Fortunately I think Andy's medal wins will remain long in the memory of the British people, mainly because he won them for this country and not just for himself.

This should be painful to read/hear.
It seems that in 6 month we are back to the big 2. Every one praise Fed for winning AO, IW and Miami at 35, and Rafa for doing one decima after another... For sure these are big results.
This is why Andy needs to win the next Grand Slams by beating Fed, Rafa or Nole. He also needs to put Stan at good distance. Because there will always be some people to put Stan in the same category, just because he also has 3 Slams.
Hope Mc Enroe will serve as one more motivation for Andy to show to every doubters that he deserves his place as no1 and in the history among the others.

He is honest but never says that he may be still recovering Tec to take anything away from the winner unlike some I could mention.

I agree, but also Andy has never been one to make excuses for his losses even if the excuse is a genuine one, and if he is still feeling the effects of shingles I doubt he'd want to broadcast the fact anyway. It's certainly true what he says about other top players making early exits from tournaments. Taking Nadal as an example, his early exits at Wimbledon at the hands of much lower ranked players since 2012 have become almost legendary.
