Depends what he had done, I guess.  Sounds like it was minimally invasive, but even a full hip replacement would be up and moving after a week, though probably not walking along the street, no matter how otherwise fit you were!
I have heard it was done by keyhole surgery and that, according to a hip specialist who watched him play at Wimbledon, the problem was quite possibly femoroacetabular-impingement, a condition quite common in tennis players and in other sports where a lot of twisting and turning of the hip is involved.  It can also occur because the hip bones do not form normally during the childhood growing years, and Andy did say he'd had the problem for a long time, only nobody outside of his family and team knew about it until it all flared up at RG - https://orthoinfo.aaos.org/en/diseases--conditions/femoroacetabular-impingement/

Certainly the symptoms and methods of treatment seem to fit, but Andy being Andy I reckon we'll never know for sure.  After all we still don't know what the problem with his back was!

He's doing remarkably well, and the RT interview is right not to write him off.  It was an interesting read, thank you.

Not an article but a tweet by Matt Little on the 14th, only as I don't know how to copy video clips across you'll have to scroll down for it.  It's the second tweet below the one to Kyle -

Yes, that's the one.  I like seeing these too, particuarly as I have great faith in Andy's team because I know they'll do everything they can to get him back to where he was.

I'm feeling OK, just pretty washed out after the recent health problems.  Also TV has packed in so I'm awaiting delivery of a new one.

I did that at the time.  Would have left a response too but Matt doesn't seem to encourage those.  I do like his description of himself in his profile though -

"Strength and Conditioning Coach to Andy Murray and GB Davis Cup team. Public Speaker & Writer. Father, Husband, Charlton Athletic fan and low level comedian"

I bet it's his great sense of humour that helps to lift Andy and keep him going when things gets tough - and I remember seeing a pic of him about a year ago during a training session in Miami involving soft sand running, designed to help strengthen the leg muscles, standing with a big grin on his face at Andy lying collapsed in a heap on the sand! Very Happy

Andy has won a battle to build a new multi-million pound mansion with a swimming pool and gym in Leatherhead.

He plans to demolish a property he bought for nearly £3 million and construct the new home in its place.

I'm sure he'll be very pleased with it when it's built Smile

Sounds fantastic. If only I could also afford a millionaire mansion near Leatherhead.

I don't suppose we'll get to see pics of the finished product, like we do of Fed's homes?  I think he has one in Switzerland which has loads of glass windows.

Probably, assuming he left around the time of his fb post which was 11:34 yesterday morning.
