^ Heard that announced on Radio 4 earlier.   Very encouraging news indeed.

As expected Andy is in the Davis Cup team.

As usual with BBC we have to ignore the idiots  who have left their usual mind numbingly predictable comments.

Doesn’t look as they are showing it though.

^ Thanks for that.   Agree about the idiots, although I have defended Andy a couple of times recently in that section.  Waste of time really!

It certainly is.  At least these days there are lots of positive comments.  Andy’s actions/achievement speak so much louder than petty words.

I can't believe Andy and his team won't have taken extensive medical advice on playing with a metal hip.

I saw that article and came to the same conclusion as you.

From what Andy has said over the last few months, he is seems too grounded to play tennis again at any cost.

Well this guy is all over the news, as is the name of his clinic, so no doubt he'll be over the moon with all the free publicity

As you and WB say- no way Andy hasn’t explored and taken on board the risks etc.  There will always be the opportunists who love to take advantage.

I agree with that too, particularly as Andy said in an article recently that his hip specialist had actually encouraged him to start playing again.  Also given that said specialist has operated twice on the late Queen Mother, then I seriously doubt she's a 'nobody' of the orthopaedic world, which is probably more than can be said of Dr Rudiger, even if he is a hip specialist with his own clinic.  Hope he enjoys his moment of glory.

It's all over the media now!   According to Hello magazine -

"Andy’s grandfather Roy Erskine, 88, told The Sun: "It's a wee boy. He was born during the week, I don’t know what his name is yet. My wife is away down, she went down this morning."

Very happy for them both and delighted that it's a boy. Smile   I wonder if and when we'll find out what his name is - maybe at the Davis Cup?
