I would love him to do the invitational and legends stuff. For one thing he'd probably blow them all off the court!

Andy's had two offers to play in the retired players invitational doubles at Wimbledon next year - one from Ash Barty and the other from Feliciano Lopez.

That would be great to see.

Pretty gruesome I agree!   Andy though did say at the time that it wasn't giving him much pain, but even so it must have felt very uncomfortable.

Probably not surprising, but It hasn't taken long for Andy to start competing again.  He's entered for the Pro-Am at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, which takes place from 17 - 22 September

His ambitions are still burning.New sport, new goals. Unfortunately, I have no clue about golf.

I don't have much of a clue either.  Tried learning to play it once but never mastered the basics, and nor have I ever enjoyed watching it.

On Saturday morning I got up early to play golf. I put on my long johns, dressed quietly, and went to the garage to load up the car. Coming out of the garage rain was pouring down; it was like bloody stair rods!

Then I saw snow mixed in with the rain, and the wind was blowing about 50mph, so, I returned to the garage. I came back into the house and turned the TV to the weather channel, only to find that it's going to be bad weather all day long.

I put the car back in the garage, went back to the bedroom, quietly undressed and slipped back into bed. There I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, "The weather out there is terrible." To which she sleepily replies, "Can you believe my stupid husband is out there playing golf in that sh*t??."
