Olympics R2: A Murray/D Evans vs S Gillé/J Vliegen

Belgian doubles specialists Sander Gillé and Joran Vliegen have, since 2019, reached 13 ATP tour doubles finals, winning 8 of them along with an ATP Masters 1000 title at this year's Monte-Carlo Masters.  They also reached the final of the 2023 French Open.

In R1 here they defeated the French pairing of Fils/Humbert 7-5, 6-4.

Alcaraz/Nadal not started yet - so looks like it won't start until at least 4:45pm UK time.  Was so great to see a victory in the last round and the boys jumping with joy/excitement - fingers crossed for the fairytale to continue although I notice the Belgians are overwhelming favourites so this will be much harder!

First match on the court - Jack Draper vs Taylor Fritz (Jack lost) - lasted just under 2.5 hours, so that'll delay things a bit.   Just have to hope that the women's singles don't go the same way otherwise we could be looking at 5:30.

And in fact the women's singles has just finished, so looking more like 5:45/6 pm now.

Just looking at the current temp in Paris - 34C (93F) atm.  Hopefully it'll a little cooler when Andy & Dan play.
