Another nailbiter. So emotional, for both of them and for us. The journey goes on.

This just means so much to him.  His emotions  must be in a turmoil.
That’s what I was thinking. Just keep holding your nerves Andy boy, we’ll have them for you.

An amazing victory yet again.  It’s easy to see why Andy wanted to stay on for the Olympics

Just like the last match, that was bloody impressive.

I’ve been glued to my dodgy stream thinking *this may be the last time*…

I don’t post here much anymore, but I’ve never missed a match.

Congratulations and hugs to each and every one of you diehards in it like me until the end.

Andy speaking to the BBC after the match -

"Tonight we deserved to win, in the first round we were lucky - tonight if it had gone the other way it would have been unfortunate.

"We were playing well and had lots of chances. We played every point and come up with some great returns when we were down in the third set and we served it out really well, but we left it too close to comfort.

"It was way better than the first match, certainly from my side - there was nerves in the first match and I didn’t serve well at all. Today from my side I was much happier with how I served and we gave them few chances on the return.

"If we can serve that way and combine like that we will be tough to beat - obviously winning matches like that builds confidence. The opponents will see that as well, that we have been coming back and always there at the end - that helps."

What a great serve on match point. Fortunately Dan was focussed enough for that massive smash as he had been for that almighty drive into their net player a few point earlier. A good team effort but Andy was especially the star tonight. I just hope that they have a great match in the quarters. He deserves that at least. He looks in good form. It may be hard for him to stick to his retirement plan!  Let us hope that he finds some sort of role when he can continue to help British players. I shall be looking out for who they play next.   Brilliant Andy (and Dan)!

So wonderful! I can't believe they made it through another huge match tiebreak again. Am about to watch the replay—my only sorrow was not being able to watch it live. What stars.

Another nail biting match, and they done it again in the tiebreaker, but a bit too close for comfort for me lol. Well done Andy & Dan.
