Terrific!! He surely must be feeling pretty good if he was willing to go out and hit with that lot!

Great news Andy is able to practise. More than I've hoped for after Tuesday..
I saw some live stream parts on youtube from today, not including the Thiem/Murray part.

He looks ok to me there, but if you watched the BBC intro today, both Castle and Henman were stating he looks like he's limping as badly as he was during Wimbledon.....

I think it's hopeful that he felt able to come out and hit with a big hitter like Thiem so soon after Tuesday, which must have taken a lot out of him.
Gnome I read on line some other commentator saying while yes he was limping still, which hardly surprising, it wasn't as bad as at Wimbledon and USO. I think I'll avoid watching Castle as he's so unrelentingly eeyorish about where Andy's at. Of course he may be right that the hip isn't better than it was even though Andy himself says it is (even if still not right), and part of me is prepared for bad news down the line, but I'd prefer to look on the bright side for now and take heart from the fact that Andy was doing a serious practice yesterday with a big hitter like Thiem.
PS the heartening message from this and from Tuesday is that Andy is so motivated to be back playing tennis and especially matches. It would be so sad if he wasn't able to do so because his body let him down.

Great to see Andy on court again still a bit worried for him, the limp is still quite apparent though maybe not troubling him so much.
Great to hear about new baby daughter no name given as yet. Kim and baby well which is the main thing
Hope he doesn't return to serious tennis too soon and I am sure his team are looking after him.

Great to see Andy practising at the O2. Meanwhile I'm ignoring the doom and gloomers (Bouncy in particular is a pain in the bum!) and keeping my fingers crossed that he'll be fine next season.

Yes, talk about “always look on the dark side of life”. (I stole that from a Darth Vader poster on my son’s wall.)

I can't remember either Castle or Henman ever winning a grandslam title - maybe you can remember these things? Maybe had they listened to other non-grandslam winners they might have done better?
I'm not going to listen to anyone re Andy, I'm going to wait until January, and then I can make my own mind up.

It's not that I agree with them, I just wonder why they are continuing with that narrative when everything else I've read suggests Andy is doing brilliantly in his comeback. The BBC are really starting to wind me up.

If you read what Federer had to say about Andy and to him was he was delighted how he was playing- he was so surprised.
Lets forget Andrew Castle he has always been funny where Murray is concerned.
keep going Andy you are doing great.
