A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

I was worried at 5:2. Now I am more than relieved and happy for him. It was a real nail-biter again.

Oh wow so happy to see Andy so happy. He played wonderful!! Loved his team cheering him on!!! Granted he was playing a guy who was #75, but Muller came on strong in the second set and it could have gone either way, but Andy held on. I watched it on my phone as it was not on the TV. I will see if it’s on my computer, would love to get his happy interview recorded. Great start for mine and Andy’s day!!

Fantastic - was only following the scores, but kept fingers crossed. I see he plays a teenager next, think it will be very tough but hopefully the win should give him more confidence.

The change from the sausage-coloured shirt to the blue one was paying off. Andy should keep wearing it, not only because it might have brought him success.

I agree, the sausage shirt was hideous!

Ditto! It didn't seem to do him any good either, so I was delighted when I saw the blue one today!

I hope so too, Mensik is a young player who's rising through the rankings very quickly and who's quoted as saying that "I have the confidence that I can beat the big guys", and proved it by beating Davidovich Fokina in straight sets.
