Queens F: Murray vs Tsonga

Quote

Murray turned in a magnificent performance against Andy Roddick.  Can he take the same level of intensity into his match against Tsonga and win Queens for the 2nd time?

NB - Due to adverse weather forecast the match will start at noon and not 2 pm as scheduled.

Andy was simply awesome against A-Rod. Outrageous  and astonishing. Poor Jo-Wilifrid wont have an earthly if Muzza plays like that.

All the best for tomorrow Andy. Soooooooooo excited, if it's anything like today's match it's going to be enthralling.  cmonandy

Well I've gone for Andy in 2! I'm sooo glad it's not young James he's playing tomorrow! If he played only half as good tomorrow, he would've wiped the floor with him and maybe lost a lot of English support and dented the lad's confidence! That would've been awful! Much as I like Tsonga, Andy will just have to wipe the floor with him instead! w00t

Just watch what happens tomorrow. I'm betting that the bulk of this crowd will be supporting Tsonga.

There is absolutely nothing that Andy can ever do to have the British (actually I mean English) be behind him against most opponents. Andy will have to win Wimbledon, then a quick follow up by winning USO and then AO to have a modicum of UK support for him.

Who cares what the assembly feels, go Andy and win.

O no OSS,i think they will up for him but whatever happens in the crowd we on MW will be cheering for our guy.

Oh pessimistic me! - I've a horrible feeling rain is going to disrupt this match anyway, especially if it goes to 3.  Forecast chart looked pretty ominous.

this is why they moved the match to an earlier time i think.

Tsonga's about as useful as Roddick on return, though he's not as useless on the ground when on the front foot so it'll be tighter.

Oh are you already preparing arguments to detract from Andy's achievement should he win tomorrow eh?  I'm sure it will be tighter and therefore I'll go for Andy in 3 on the basis that it's unlikely he can play at that amazing level 2 days running.  That's not to put Andy down in any way but just to acknowledge that to play virtually flawless tennis 2 days running like that would be really difficult to do.  I suspect the crowd will be fairly equally balanced between Andy and Jo-Wilfred.  As you say OSS, it will be a very English crowd and will probably include quite a few who don't like Andy.  And it's clear that JWS is popular - for good reason.  Anyway whatever happens Andy should take great heart from today's performance, but it would be wonderful to see him raise that trophy again.  cmon yeah

Please tell me why should the English do not support Andy. They want a champion but are unwilling to give
Andy their full support. Then they wonder why the Scots get angry with them. Until they do without reservation there will always be friction between the two sets of supporters. Then if they don't maybe
it would be better for Andy to be Scottish and compete under the Saltire and not the Union Jack. Think

I doubt that it is all the English.  Just like there are some Scots who can't stand him either.

I disagree OSS and expect the majority of people on court will cheer for Andy, but because Jo-W. is a great personality he will undoubtedly get support too.

From the signs today even the over-paid TV comms sounded like they were behind Andy. Joking and saying that the public wont allow Jo-W to win tomorrow.
Now that was a real shock!

It'd be great if all the Scottish/English/British Murray crap would stop!

Do you mean on MW or just in general?
