Comms convinced that something happened when he was walking down the long flight of stairs to the court because prior to that he was walking round the place perfectly normally.

I so agree.

That was so upsetting. I do hope it isn't anything awful.

He just can’t get a break.

I agree.

I have just had the same kind of pain in my left leg, and weakness.  Physical Therapy helped get it better, but the spine is pressing on nerves so it can flare up again easily.  I have been to pain management and they suggest an epidural to block the pain which is just a shot.  So maybe that is something that could help Andy. along with PT.

This is an extended version of Andy's post-match conference -

Speaking in his press conference at Queen’s, Murray stated he will get a scan on his back tomorrow, adding that he has been “struggling with his back for quite a while” and had no coordination in his right leg out on court.

Asked whether he will play at Wimbledon, he said: “I wouldn’t know. I didn’t get the right side of my back treated after the French Open [a few weeks ago]. All tennis players have degenerative joints in the back but it’s all predominantly been left-sided for me, for pretty much my whole career. I’ve never had too many issues with the right side.

“Maybe there’s something which can be done between now and then with my right side - will have a scan tomorrow and re-check and see what can be done. I don’t know exactly what the problem is. I just know I haven’t experienced that before - the back pain today and yesterday. I don’t know what the procedure will be or what to expect.”

Ah, that's a real shame. Especially if it means he misses Wimbledon.

BBC comms were saying at Queens that according to Andy's team, he's having a 'procedure' carried out on his back tomorrow.  Beyond that nobody has any idea what's going on.

Guessing he might consider a pain killing injection, if it could help him play a final match or two at Wimbledon.

Unfortunately according to his team the procedure is a surgical one.

Just want Andy to get back to feeling normal,
it is frightening . Thinking of him lots and hope
the surgery or what ever he is having does the
magic . Speedy recovery

I don't think it's surgery as such, as everyone is surmising.

Shock treatment which sounds terrible but is like a drilling on the back , not painful with laser treatment which is heat and also lying on a bed  which stretches
you , definitely helps if you have back problems .
Sciatica can be extremely painful and can affect walking etc and nerves in the body . Hopefully it is not
surgery as you implied.

Thinking of Andy and wish him good health asap. X
