Quote

20 year old Dominic Stricker is a left-handed Swiss player currently ranked No. 117 (highest |No.111).  He has won five Challenger titles, the last being in May at the Prague Open.

In 2020 Stricker won the French Open boys' singles title as well as the doubles title partnering Flavio Cobolli.  Debuting on the ATP Tour in 2021 his most prominent win was against Hubert Hurkacz at the Geneva Open which he entered as a wildcard.  In  June 2022 he qualified for the BOSS Open in Stuttgart, defeating Maxime Cressy in R1 before losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas.  Entering the European Open as a qualifier, he defeated Botic van de Zandschulp  in round 1 before losing to Richard Gasquet. The following week at the Swiss Indoors, he reached the second round as a wildcard, again defeating Maxime Cressy, then exiting to Pablo Carreno Busta in three sets.  Having qualified for the NextGen Finals he reached the semi-finals undefeated beating top seed Lorenzo Musetti en route in five sets, then went out in straight sets to Jiri Lehecka.  This season he's only competed in Challengers although he did play at the French Open, entering the draw as a lucky loser, losing in straight sets to Tommy Paul.

I don't know why they keep putting him last on.

Neither to do I, but maybe for some reason of their own they want to get the ladies' matches over in one go, and if they put Andy on first at 11:00 and then the rest fewer people might be able to turn up to watch.

They want to keep the crowd there by saving the best for the last!

It's awful scheduling, honestly. If this Watson match goes to three sets there's every chance Murray doesn't finish tonight.

At last the match has finished!  Another good day for the British women!

I'm curious to see how Stricker does given that he had two lengthy MTOs in his last match, but for what I don't know as the camera was too far away.
