27 year old Grenier, currently ranked No. 123 (highest No. 95 Sept 2022), has reached five Challenger finals since October 2021, winning four of them, the last being in April this year. He made his Grand Slam debut in 2022 when he entered both Wimbledon and the US Open main draws as a Lucky Loser, defeating Marc-Andrea Hüsler in five sets and Thomas Martin Etcheverry in four respectively. His biggest achievement this year was reaching R3 of the Madrid Open, beating Diego Schwartzman and Sebastian Korda, both in two close sets, en route, then was defeated 6-1, 6-0 by Alexander Zverev. He entered the main draw at the French Open as a wildcard but lost in four to Marton Fucsovics in R1.
