Rotterdam F: Murray vs Nadal

Quote

Can't understand how Andy can rattle through all these smaller tournaments but when it comes to the slams he just seems to loose his nerve.
I think it's a question of experience with the tensions of a five setter tourney. As he and his game matures even further throughout this year so will his ability at the Slams increase. This is what happened to Federer - 'they' said he didn't have what it took to win a slam, but he matured into them same as Andy will - Andy has the talent too. Nadal is a different 'animal' entirely - different personality, different chemistry - everything - that's why he's done everything so early. The exciting thing is watching Andy and his game mature and improve - he has so much dedication and talent that he will get there - promise!!

Could be a close call today - especially if Andy is still having ankle problems. From his interview it would seem he had them in the previous match too.  If he's free of injury and in top form - I would say Andy in 3 close sets - they seem to bringout the best of one another and I know how much Andy likes to play him. clapping clapping

To be more accurate, he is currently 1790 points behind and if he wins tomorrow, it drops to 1590 points.
Is he? I think he's currently 1650 points behind and that changes to either 1550 or 1750 depending on whether he wins today.

Either way, Nole has 970* more point to defend over the next 5 weeks, so it's maybe not quite such a big gap after all.

Can't make my mind up who'll win this one. Psychologically it's an important match though.

* or thereabouts, depending on how you count it
