And why sinking feeling (other than it not being Andy)?  Of those left I'd rather it Dimitrov who won, if Andy can't.   His failure to realise his talent has been disappointing and at one point it looked like he might do a Gulbis (enjoying off court distractions too much).  But of that generation I'd much rather he rather than Raonic were successful as I prefer his brand of tennis.

Same here Ruthie, particularly as Dimitrov seems to have found himself again and has gone back to playing the tennis we know he's capable of.

Aileen I suspect that Dani may have said to him he'd only coach him if he shows the kind of work ethic he observed working with Andy.  Incidentally apparently he chose to work with Dimi rather than Delpo for geographical reasons: he now lives in Zurich and Delpo does his off-season training in Latin America not surprisingly.  I hope that doesn't mean Dani is yet another tennis tax exile but I do have a vague memory that he has a partner who lives in Switzerland? 

Thank you Ruthie.  I'd forgotten all about Dani!   I did know he had a gf/partner but had no idea where she lived.  According to Dani's wikipedia though he lives in Barcelona, so maybe that's his main residence and therefore he isn't a tax exile?
