I think Murray should at least bother to sign a few autographs for the kids in the past two tournaments he's just stormed off unable to accept he's bang average now

So sad, for Andy, it’s not like he’s not trying, he is but here again he has to fight for so many points. And he’s not hitting many aces which would help. He’s not a quitter and so he either figures out a way to win these matches or he decides to do something else he loves.

Who is coaching Andy?
28 year old Jonny O'Mara, a fellow Scot who comes from Arbroath. Until he started coaching Andy he was playing on the Tour as a doubles' specialist.

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

The last game was symptomatic: inconsistent serving, strong returns from S, precise hitting and Andy not being able to put away an easy ball.
Yet, let‘s not forget that in this form S defeated many other players recently. But I would really want Andy to string some wins together and not continuously go out in R1. How can he build up any confidence in his way?

If he wants to win he needs to drop to the challenger tour as the atp level is just a step too far for him now.

I think playing challenger along with ATP is a good idea, but not drop ATP.

I think he needs a break, to be honest. Has to sit down, get outside his own head and be able to examine what's not working in a calm way. We know he's still good enough to beat most of these people, but I think with all this frustration he can't get out of his own way.

I agree, it’s like he’s running from tournament to tournament. Give yourself some time Andy to calmly look at what’s not working and find a way to fix it.

I agree too, and nor do I see any point in hanging around for Tokyo which doesn't start until the 16th, and which, all things considered, struck me as being a bit unwise anyway right on top of the Swiss Indoors which starts the following week. If he feels he really must play more tournaments then I'm sure he could get acceptance for the European Open in Antwerp, which also starts on the 16th. Maybe a few days at home might help to clear his head a bit.

Andy was visibly irate and really had a meltdown.
The frustration is that he believes he can reach the highest levels of tennis yet with his mobility issues he is 38th on the Live ATP rankings which is an amazing achievement and an inspiration.
I think Andy can still can get into the top 30, into a seeding position for the slams and to do so he needs to play aggressive from both wings and flatten out the forehand to dictate the play, his issue is that he leaves balls to short in many rallies leaving the opponent to take the advantage.
I'm at peace with this situation because post 2019 was Andy is doing is remarkable, he puts massive expectations on his shoulders and he always did, that is why he's a winner.
