No on-court interview unfortunately.

Andy played some impressive tennis and served very well in what were windy conditions but Hyeon did make things tricky for him.

I totally forgot he was on this morning and missed the whole thing! Sounds as if he played a very solid match though of course poor Chung trying to work his way back from a sadly long hiatus.

I did the same thing and did not get up on time to watch. And with it being earlier, even if I got Ip would have probably missed it, so mad.

Andy’s stats were great 8 aces no double faults.

Andy did play a very sold match but that said Chung didnt make things all that easy for him.  I'd love to see him get back in the top 20 if he can get fully over his injury problems.

You can watch a replay here Apollo, and the same goes for anyone else who missed it either because it started earlier than expected or through the BBC's technical failings.

In R2 Andy will play the winner of two Qualifiers - either China's 21 year old Bu Yunchaokete or Britain's 21 y,o. Harry Wendelken.

Andy smiling at the end there—looked like he was pretty happy with that. He seemed very comfortable on the surface and even in the highlights it looked as if his serve was really on, hope that continues!  Thanks for that, Tonedial!

Thank you, I thought Andy played really well, wasn't a walk in the park though, Chung hit some pretty good balls.  Got scared when he ran into the sign and ended up falling, glad he was okay.

Thanks for the highlights Tonedial, I don't have iplayer.  Andy looked so comfortable on the grass and played well for his first match.
