AO 2011 Final: Murray v Djokovic

I like the Joker too ... we just have to sit on Elly's head till she comes around ... on the other hand, she likes Sean Bean, so maybe she's a lost cause.

What's wrong with Sean Bean? Little tongue man drool

Djokovic has always come across charming in the 2 matches I've seen him play.

Andy won't last 5 sets I fear actually, so 3 would be ideal.  I actually think the first set is massive.  The last two finals Andy never won even a set, I think if he could take set one he may really begin to believe he can do it...

Is it the lime green shirt or the white one?

I prefer the white shirt and he was wearing that on his night match vs Marchenko.

Same. As much as anything can happen, I think Andy needs to win the first set.

I just can't even allow myself to contemplate how amazing it would be to see him win this. The hope is just too much. Easier to believe it's not gonna happen, then I'm not disappointed from there!

Well would you believe it, The Scotsman have put tennis on the website. not only that they have added Tennis to the menu, instead of under other sports!!! http://sport.scotsman.com/tennis

I wonder if its the result of Grabcopys e-mail to the editor of the newspaper that did it?  How nice of them at last to use some column inches on the country's best sportsman....    Whistle
I read The Scotsman regularly and it has ALWAYS included articles about Andy as well as faithfully reporting every match he plays in in a very fair and unbiased way.  Just because it didn't go OTT from day 1 of the AO, doesn't mean it has lost interest in him!!!

You and Grabcopy looked at just ONE edition online, which was really its Sunday version "Scotand on Sunday", so no wonder it was heavily devoted to football!  But if you'd bothered to look carefully at "other news" you'd have found a two-column report on a women's match in Oz.

If Grabcopy did, in fact, write to the Editor, I hope he got a flea in his ear for his pains!

Dreamt of Andy last night, but I don't remember what happened, and my sleep was fitful! I thought I'd get a nap before the game but my nerves are already knotting themselves.

I just hope I can last throughout the match, but I'll be bawling either way.

My heart is close to bursting right now and the match hasn't even begun! cmonandy Wishing you all the luck and grace tonight!  cmon yeah pray

:cmonandy:Everything crossed and a huge box of tissues at the ready, whatever the result. Andy's artistry versus Nole's consistency. May his serve be on fire, his ground strokes perfection, his running forehand like greased lightning, his down the line backhand flowing and his head, relaxed, focused, full of "brutal" intent. udaman

I said I would never post again, as I was upseting people with my views but I wanted you to know that Andy arrived at the tennis centre at 4.55pm and handed the secutiry guard (the first person the players see when they arrive) a signed tennis racket. The security guard was really pleased. Novak arrived at 5.05pm and just shook the secutiry guards hand. At 5.15pm we saw Andy having a hit on an outside court ( I live in Sydney and the mixed doubles final is on the TV) then we were told Novak is hitting indoors becauseof the heat. Even at 5.15pm it is 39 degrees and they think Andy is hitting outside to show Novak the weather is not bothering him.

The mixed doubles final is being played with the roof closed because of the weather and they have said they could leave it until 7.30pm until they decide if they will play the mens final with the roof open or not. If the roof is closed they are all saying that the joker will win.

I have posted this as I am unsure if you have this info in England, sorry if I have posted things you already know.

I went to the Sydeny cricket ground and screamed my lungs out as England won the Ashes, will I achieve my dream and see GB win a slam title. l think I will.
