8 WCs(surely someone will get a bye in round one.... in other words, he will be playing Donald Young), 16 Qs.

There should be quite a few Brits in the qualies, will post a new topic when the list is announced.

Merci beaucoup Arka.

You're welcome.

Do you think he will get a seeding?

It will be tough. The problem is that the US Open is really popular among the players, so there are very few withdrawals. Last year there were only 3 withdrawals here, compared to 11 in AO, 9 in RG and 10 in Wimbly.
So Andy will have to rely on himself playing some really good tennis in the US Open Series in order to ensure a seeding.

I Doubt Murray will get a seeding and its nice for tim to be able to get into an event without having to rely on a w/c!!!!
Which Brits do You guys think will be in qaulies??? Boggo,Goodall, Bloomfield, Lee, Baker???? might all have a chance if current form continues!!!

He has 2 tournaments to bring up his ranking before seeding announced - I reckon he will be top 30 by then.

He probably only needs to go up by about two or three places to get a seeding which is entirely possible if he plays a couple of solid tournaments with one really good one.

Frown Not if he doesn't play Washington, which is looking increasingly suspect. He'll go down in the rankings, not up. Crying or Very sad

Think he needs to win two matches at Toronto and two at Cinci to increase his points in each case (defending Binghampton and Cinci). Hope he plays Washington cos he would be something like the 10th best ranked player, so stands a chance of getting to QFs or summink.

As was the case last time, the US Open authorities have struck a deal with the Oz Open authorities for WCs.

The Oz authorities have not named their choice yet but I think that we all can guess the name.....

Rolling Eyes Sometimes my predictions make even me blush.!!

What's up with the Cinny draw? They're still on Sunday's OOP. Good job I looked at Tim's website to find out they're playing Tuesday.
