With the back against the wall Andy was re-energised and P, as hoped, went off the boil. Incredible effort from Andy against a really tricky opponent, great support from the fans, valuable ranking points.

Re the comparison to Shapo: the Canadian is so extroverted that it is sometimes stressful to watch him whereas Purcell hardly shows emotions, which makes him boring to watch for me.

You’re right about Shapo. I don’t get stressed about him anymore because he’s only going backwards. Shame because he has all the good’s but doesn’t seem to be plugged in.
I get stressed about Felix because he is the real deal, but I fear he’s missing the window of opportunity. imo he needed to ditch his long time coach and pt uncle Tio.

Thanks Apollo.  From what he said at the end it sounds like putting him on an outside court did a lot of fans a big favour, especially the youngsters, and when I watched a replay I did notice him digging into his bag to find some 'souvenirs' for them because he never likes to disappoint, bless him.
