US Open 2015 R4: Andy Murray vs Kevin Anderson

I don't think Andy will ever be able to fully control the rants.    They didn't disappear altogether under Lendl but he did get over his anger swiftly and it wasn't directed at his box.     With Amelie I think he was very aware of how she would be criticised if he put a foot wrong and therefore controlled himself more.     I do think he was tired at the US Open and reverted to type.    The rant from the chair at the end of the 2nd set went on too long and I don't think helped him at all.
I agree, ILA, and it really may be his downfall, but it's also what makes him human, and what I like about him.  Of course I'd like him to constantly win, but more importantly I like him just to be himself.  Sometimes, it makes it unpleasant to watch, but I don't mind.

As much as I despise the DC as a competition, I hope he (and yes, it all depends on him) wins the damn thing this year so he never has to play in it again. It has definitely taken the focus away from his own singles career. Is it a case of proving the "anyone but England" faction wrong.
I really do hope we win it. It will help his scheduling no end if he feels that he doesn't need to play in it any more.
Agreed, he can still play the GB thing next year defending his Olympic gold medal in Rio, whilst easing up on Davis Cup.

IMHO all Andy has to do in this case (the case of USO 2015 fourth round) is :
- Smash is racket
- Throw as many f*** he wants
- Maybe lose the next point in anger (break point excepted)
- MOVE ON
These are all the sort of things the kind of Stan and Novak do as mentionned in a previous post.
(Remember Miami 2015 in the final : Andy wins the second set, Novak totally loses his temper and takes a warning for a very bad behavior, Novak has a severe argument with the chair umpire, ..... Novak wins the 3rd 6-0).

And this is not because Andy does the same that he will lose his personnality.
He did that with Lendl and it went well, he did that when Amelie was here and he played again the very best tennis o his life.
I don't know why but this time he completly lost it.
At 2 sets to love and a break down in the third he started to focus and fight again, which was magnificent, but the match was already lost or with a so tiny chance it made it almost impossible.
