US Open R1: Andy Murray vs Corentin Moutet

24 year-old Moutet, who plays left-handed, is currently ranked No. 71 with a career high of No. 51 achieved in November 2022.  He has won 6 ATP Challenger Tour titles.

He has only won 6 of his 19 matches this year and is currently on a four-match losing streak, including a straight sets first-round loss to Emil Ruusuvuori in Cincinnati.  His best result on tour this season was a quarter-final appearance in Mallorca.  He has a 6-5 record at Flushing Meadows, with three of those wins coming during his run to the second week last year where he entered the main draw as a lucky loser.

Moutet is a baseliner who doesn't have a particularly powerful serve or ground strokes but moves well round the court.

I don't have a TV either, but depending on the time of the match, you could always watch a free livestream online, and I'm sure one will be posted.

^ You could perhaps find someone with SKY who will give you use of one of their SKYGO connections for the period of the US Open. I did not know of this until I found that my three children had done this using my subscription without my knowledge as one of them, (Supergeek!), has access to my systems to help me manage my computer usage! Subscribers are limited in the number of changes to use of SKYGO in a single month so you must be careful.
PS: The use is now under control with only one still using it mainly so I have options on a mobile and my laptop.

So long as Moutet behaves himself!  Got expelled from the French Tennis Federation at the end of last year for repeated bad behaviour on court, which included being disqualified for swearing at the umpire and being fined 10,000 euros for a  scuffle on court with his victorious opponent which saw the umpire having to separate the two players!

I don't think that sort of behaviour will work with Andy...

I doubt it too, although as both incidents came at the end of matches Corentin lost, my guess is that he's a bad loser.

Yes! And I just saw Ivan's back... And the guy he's practising with is Nishioka.

Andy looked in a good place. He was getting some essential practise against a leftie. Ivan strutted about as is his way.
