Come on Andy you can do this - you have done brilliantly so far coming back from seemingly impossible positions. You have played two americans on their home soil and triumphed both times. Please put a blast of "Loch Lomand" on your Ipod when you come onto court. You have that scottish thrawness and fighting spirit bring it with you to accompany your A game, You deserve to be here and you are the pride of Bonny Scotland, I really want to see you at Braehead next weekend as the USO champion. Ok Andy........Step 6.......Raphael Nadal......The toughest one yet? Maybe.....but just remember when you played him in Monte Carlo when you had the injured elbow! You were taking him apart Andy, and if the numbness hadn't started to wear off, you'd have nailed him to the wall! Today, you'll have to come out 'all guns blazin'', 'coz that's what he intends to do......but that's ok! He will also play his little trademark mind games with you.......but, don't be fazed by it! If the 'waiter' keeps you waiting Andy, complain loud and hard to the umpire every time.......and if he shouts C'MON.......you shout VAMOS and don't forget the fist pumps......a few chest beats wouldn't go amiss either! You can beat him son.......and he knows it! There's an advantage right there......so bear that in mind! If you miss a few shots?.......So what! The more you try, the more you'll get in! If you can take the lead early like you did in Monte Carlo and hang on in there......I wouldn't be at all surprised if he retires with a mysterious injury......again! Think you can do it son? I think that Andy should play his own mind games and just nudge Rafa's water bottles over when it's the changeover.  That would be very naughty - don't mess with the poor man's water bottles! |

I wonder how Andy feels going into the match. I wonder if his stomach is as churned up as mine is or if he goes in excited to play. I hope he goes in excited, I would hate him to feel the way I do. I believe Andy can do this, but Rafa is an animal out there, ready to fight to the finish. So Andy, be a tiger out there, and you fight to the finish too.
