As you say a little scary but he was mostly in control of the match and himself. It was good to see how much he wanted (and expected) to win. Taylor Fritz next could be quite a match.

Fritz has still to play tonight, but if it goes true to form he'll win.

According to the OOP for Thursday the match will be last on court around 9:00 pm local time, 2:00 am BST,
which pretty much rules those of us in Europe out.

Just watching the replay. Can't believe Andy came back from 5-2 down in the first set tiebreak. And while Nakashima is certainly playing well, Andy looks really solid. Generally serving well, in fact it's getting him out of trouble early in the second set. And he doesn't look remotely tired. By the way, for what it's worth, the heat and humidity here on the east coast have diminished drastically since Saturday. I think it was around 80 today in Washington which frankly is low for DC in the middle of the summer. Hope it lasts!

IF he can beat Fritz, this is just about the best shot at reaching a 500 final he could ever ask for. What a shame he plays the top seed, though.

Thanks Apollo.  I liked the bit about people taking time off work to come and watch him play!
