Will Andy be BBC Sports Personality this Year?

So relieved he won. I would have thrown a brick through the telly if he hadn't. Nobody has worked harder for his sporting success than Andy Murray and I include Chris Hoy in that, another Scottish legend.

Did anybody notice how the golfer Rose was described as an English winner whereas Andy is always a British winner (until he loses that is when he becomes Scottish) Old habits die hard and the BBC just can't help themselves. It's been like this since 1966 .

I think the show missed Sue Barker who is good fun. It all seemed a bit maudlin and I didn't like the singer whoever he was - he sang like Pinky and Perky.

I missed Sue Barker I must admit! I honestly thought it would have been her giving Andy his award.

So did I and convinced my family of it over Sunday dinner! Not the same without our Sue- bet she was hitting redial!  My mum would've been in major huff if Andy didn't win. (clearly runs in family!)

Why did Sue quit?

I do love a bit of Claire Balding though.

Sue wanted to concentrate on her other shows. Have liked Claire Balding since I heard her commentating on Wimbledon for radio  from the wee huts above the old courts 2 and 3, she always sounded like she was having so much fun, was great at filling rain delays and knowledgeable about players plus always updated on matches all around grounds. Thought she was great at Olympics - just so genuinely enthsiastic about sport.

Can't believe Mo came 4th AGAIN!

Not had much good PR this year. The London (Half) Marathon stunt didn't go down well.
