3 years since his last slam, almost to the day
20(16) minus 20(13) = 3! Well, I mean... no sh*t.

Not sure where to put this. I just saw Gordon Reid talking about his success yesterday. He said that Andy came over and chatted to him at the Championship dinner. Gordon said Andy asked him lots of questions about his own match, but didn't mention his own victory once. He is so humble and grounded

Which is why we all love and support him so much. It'll be a very sad day for British tennis when he finally hangs up his racquet, although he has said he intends to do something tennis-related after that. Maybe some coaching? I certainly think he'd be brilliant coaching kids.

Just watched Andy being interviewed on BBC's The One Show. It seems he didn't get to bed until 6 am, yet was perfectly happy to turn up four hours later for the interview, looking fresh as a daisy I might add!

One thing that struck me during this Wimbledon. Isn't it about time that that buffoon Garry Richardson retired? his interviews are cringe worthy. Just watching him interview Lendl and Richardson is so clueless it's embarrassing.

No, but it did cross my mind earlier today, then I forgot to mention it!

Thanks Fiverings. Certainly a very interesting take. The only thing that saddens me is that a man of 60 something considers himself to be 'old'!

Thanks Fiverings. A wonderful article. I loved it. A lesser man would have crumbled but not Andy who is now reaping the rewards of his labour.

That's a pretty long drought. Hopefully he can turn this poor run of form around.

I really woud like to know why Andy prefers to play his matches unshaved..... (I choose a Murray win in 3 sets...yeah!)

I've heard it's because he has a superstition that not shaving during matches will bring him luck, but according to Andy it's because he just can't be bothered shaving - something I can well believe!
