Wimbledon 2016 Final: Andy Murray vs Milos Raonic

Not quite as confident of victory for Andy as some on here. I think he'll do it... but it could be a titanic match. They always seem to be very tense close matches between them.

Regardless of Raonic's improvement on the ground... his serve is critical to his success. That said, whenever Andy's game falls apart, it seems to be the result of a poor 1st serve ....i think it could well be decided by which player can sustain their best serving form for the longest period. I thought Andy did what he needed to do to win v Berdych..it was clinical ..that was about it. The other semi looked a higher standard of play altogether. Raonic played some shots I've not ever seen from him...he also didn't 'fold' ...which he has done in the past against top players. Don't think I could stomach a Raonic win... I find his style of tennis awful to watch.

Hope its Andy lifting the trophy tomorrow...

I would sooner have Raonic than Djokovic, but a tired Federer might have been better in the final.

We love you Andy, we do. Don't do it for us, do it for you.

Not for me. I'd rather Raonic beat Andy than the risk of Fedmania carrying that creep over the line.

I'm watching the replay of Raonic v Federer ATM and Roger was really poor in the last 2 sets. There were too many errors from the usually peerless Swiss. Hope Andy can serve well and keep the error count low. Also would be great if the crowd can really get behind Andy and wind up the servebot.

Raonic wasnt serving his best in the Fed match, if hes tired at all it will bring down his serve which will be enough for Andy to win

I don't think that Raonic will have found favour with the Fed luvvies, so maybe they'll get behind Andy and urge him on to victory over their hero's conqueror!

That's probably a hope too far, Aileen, but I've no doubt that the crowd will be solidly behind Andy.

I'm sure they will and won't be afraid of holding back the way the more 'genteel' crowd at Queens were.  Also for those who are interested in betting, according to The Telegraph online the current odds are 3/1 Raonic and 2/7 Andy.

Apparently 18m people are expected to tune in tomorrow in the UK.    That's more than the 17.29  peak for the 2013 win, and the Wimbledon final record of 17.3m that watched Borg and MacEnroe in 1980. For context 16.9m watched Iceland beat England a couple of weeks ago.

That would be amazing but how do they forecast these things?
