His groundstrokes have improved a lot over the last year or so, but he is still quite dependent on his serve to gain him points. It's Andy's unpredictability that concerns me a little, so I hope the right one turns up and preferably does it in two to conserve energy.
I know what you mean, but he lacks variety in his shots and lacks experience. I'm pretty confident Andy will see him off.

Quite amazing that really. And don't forget the ankle either. In fact I was surprised when he showed up in London just days after he said he could barely get out of bed. Very odd!

Ignore me - I'm just a rather anxious person by nature, especially when it comes to Andy's matches!

True. Raonic by rights should have beaten an off-form Novak and it didn't help his cause either when he faltered in the tiebreaks.

I hear you! It'll be what it is. I'm not too anxious about Raonic, but I may just go postal if the lego haired one beats Andy. I don't like him, and not because he beats Andy, I just don't like him as a person. I used to think he was OK - now not so much. He seems to have changed a lot. Never used to be such an ass****. Say anything you like about Fed, he never changed, and was always a gentleman.

Same here Elly. Novak just yearns to be loved, but in truth there's nothing loveable about him and never has been.

I am looking forward to today's match. Because it is the earlier semi I will be able to watch it. Yesterday's was not like an Andy match as we had no heart fluttering moments where he tries to play wrong tactics. Yesterday was spot on. He made Stan look very ordinary. If he does same again today Raonic has little chance.
The other semi could be interesting. I have no clue what happened to Kei to lose to Cilic but I am sure with a semi final and that chance to make the final he will re-focus and make it hard for Novak. He usually does but ends up losing. As others say it is the poorer service (from being so short compared to most?) that usually does for him against the best players.

That seems spot on but for some reason others do like him. My daughter is a fan but I have at least managed to get her to support Andy now as well! The numbers of those who did not in the UK is diminishing!?

I have complete faith in Andy for this one, he's so near yet another 1st in his career. The bit beteeen his teeth and smelling blood, he'll be very focused.
We've seen less of the erratic, hot & cold Andy this year. It may be 2 close sets with Tie breaks but I think Andy will win.
As for the other SF, part of me wants Kei to win, he's very likable and been consistent this year.
The other 'thing' Djokovic is not my type of person at all. All credit to him for his achievements but, Im not a fan. Hope Andy gets the chance to prove his game is as good and better than Djokers on Sunday.
Please, please Andy "kicks ass" and wins the whole thing.

From the beeb:
Raonic, 25, has impressed so far in London, with his huge serve even more potent in the indoor arena, and he hopes the pressure of the rankings chase might finally get to Murray.
"I've played Andy many times this year. I haven't gotten the better of him," said the Canadian.
"I think the one thing that I might have is how much he has on his shoulders right now, a lot of consecutive matches, and as well what he's playing for.
"I have to try to do my best to try to accentuate that as much as possible in my own favour, so I can really get the most out of myself and hopefully be able to get on top of him for once this year."
Murray has beaten Raonic seven times in a row, and five times this year, including in the Queen's Club and Wimbledon finals.
"It's a big match," said Murray, who is on a 22-match winning streak. "Milos serves big, goes for his shots. He moves forward when he has the chance.
"I think he probably likes the conditions here. It's a little bit quicker.
"You don't normally get loads of opportunities against the big servers. This year when I've played him, I've created a few opportunities in the matches.
"When they've come, I've been pretty clinical. I'll need to be the same tomorrow if I want to win."

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

Though having improved his game, Raonic still seems an unnatural player to me. He looks mechanical in his movements and strokes, his body language and facial expression promote this image. Never will I support him (Okay, only on rare occasions like e. g. Wimbledon SF this year).

I know I sound ignorant but Andy's odds are at 2/9 which I think means that you have to put 9 units down to win 2 units and Raonic at 10/3 you would have to put 3 units to win 10. I do not bet so am quite ignorant about these figures

Odds of 2/9 means they think the chance of Andy winning is 9 out of 11, or 82%. So a very strong favourite.
