Zhuhai R1: Andy Murray vs Ye Cong Mo (WC)

Quote

According to Andy - “It was very hard.  We came from playing indoors back home where it was quite cold and here it’s very difficult.  The humidity makes it very hard to get air in after the long points. I found it tough.  It was a very fast court.  He [Mo] played a solid level and pushed me while I was trying to adjust to the conditions.  Once I managed to get ahead in the second set, I felt a little bit more comfortable."

Addressing the crowd, he added: “It’s been a long time since I’ve been back here. Look I’ve always enjoyed playing in China, I’ve had some of my best results here, played some of my best tennis.”

And at the 2023 Guangzhou Open, Danish player Clara Tauson collapsed mid-match due to the heat and had to retire.

Apparently, no AC, as fans were there fanning away.  Mo was totally wet with sweat.  Here is the interview with a little missing.  It's done in two parts, not sure if YouTube got it right.

Send Andy good vibes on Saturday as I cannot watch as I have a symposium that I have to attend.

Good Luck Andy boy, stay cool in all ways and come away the winner!!

Thanks for the interview Apollo.  Very strange they don't have AC there but Andy has played there before so would have known what to expect.  At least he's got a day in which to recover before his next match.
