Didn't watch but Pinnington Jones won 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.  Looking at the stats suggests there really wasn't all that much between the two after the first set.  The irony though is that Pinnington Jones has followed the same path as Cam, playing collegiate tennis in the United States for Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, and in fact it was Cam who recruited him to the programme.

From Cam - "It was a tough match, I had a lot of opportunities… there were a lot of break points in the third and he came out with some good stuff there and managed to hold onto his serve and play a couple of break points."

Queens - Cam vs Milos Raonic

Very close match but the servebot goes through 11-9 in the 3rd set TB.

My comm celebrated Raonic‘s new world record of 46 aces in a match. For me, this is a reason to cry. No wonder that Cam had difficulties, though he had one chance in the TB to eliminate R from the tournament.

Not to worry Britain now has a servebot Jack Draper and 31 aces in a match. That is the new generation now, not my kind of tennis to be honest.

Ruusuvuori won 7-6(9), 6-3, so another disappointing loss.

1st set RCB 6-3., 2nd and 3rd sets Cam 6-4, 6-3.  A few signs of  rustiness in the first two sets but those went as the match wore on.

Missed the 1st set which Cam took 6-3, then VA took the 2nd 6-3.  Cam took the 3rd 6-1 but had to fight for it, although he was helped by VA seeming to loose focus at the start of the set.  This is his first ATP QF since Barcelona in April.

1st set Cam 6-3, 2nd Zizou 8-6 in the tiebreak despite Cam leading it 6-4.

Lost the stream and found I was watching a WTA match instead, but from live scores Cam took the 3rd 6-1.

Cam took the 1st 6-2.  Topsy-turvy 2nd with breaks of serve and some sneaky play from Moutet who did three underarm serves, but Cam took the tiebreak 7-5, coming back from 5-2 down to do so, to go through to his first ATP Tour final since February 2023.

This win will put him back up  to No. 50 in the rankings.
