Cam wins comfortably 6-1, 6-3, 6-3.  Even the raucous crowd couldn't help Pouille.  It didn't help him either that the umpire failed to see a double bounce at 3-1 in the third and so gave Cam the point which allowed him to break.

RG R3 - Not one of Cam's better days losing 1-6, 2-6, 4-6 to World No. 18 Lorenzo Musetti.  Tame first two sets with too many UEs, but Cam showed more aggression in the third and looked to be pulling off a  comeback when it got to  4-4, but not to be.

Lost in the QF 4-6, 6-7(1-7)  to Sebastian Korda.  Took Cam to the middle of the second set to get going, fought back from a set and a break down, then played a rubbish tiebreak.

All quite from him since going out in the 2nd round of Wimbledon.

What did you expect him to do given that Wimbledon's not long finished?  He's playing next in Los Cabos which starts on the 31st.  Won the title there in 2021 and lost to Medvedev in the final last year, so I guess he likes playing there.

Things still aren't going well for Cam.  Exited in round 1 in Los Cabos, and in R1 in Toronto he lost 5-7, 4-6  to Alex de Minaur.

Cam's losing streak unfortunately continued as Gael won 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in what were tricky windy conditions..

Cam wins 6-0, 6-3.  Polmans got off to a slow start and never really recovered, although he did prove more of a challenge towards the end of the second set.

Karatsev in the QF should be interesting.

Cam vs Karatsev.

4-4 and Cam survives 3 BPs to hold.

Tiebreak

Cam pulls back from 5-2 to 5-5 but K takes it 7-5.

Set 2 -

1-1 and Cam gets the break and consolidates, while K's level has dropped slightly.

4-3 Cam and a good hold makes it 5-3

Cam was serving for the match at 5-4 but played a horrible game to let K level at 5-5.

Tiebreak

6-5 K who serves an ace to take the set and the match.

Very disappointing for Cam because he was playing better than I've seen him do for a long time.  Not only that but K wasn't playing at quite the same level he was against Andy.

Really hope this will do Cam some good because he hasn't been the same since he went out in R2 of Wimbledon.
