Washington, R1:  I didn't see the match, but Dan lost 4-6, 1-6 against Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka, ranked #77, after appearing to struggle in the early afternoon heat (it was 36C/97F!) and losing 9 of the final 10 games.

I felt bad for Dan in this heat. I'm 200 miles further north and it's still not just really hot but very humid—and Washington is always really humid anyway.

Yeah seems to lack that little bit of belief when its do or die,
But he has talent, and seems to making the most of it, could stay in the world top 50 for a good few years
Quite convinced Dan we be the British no 1 by year end, unless Kyle gets his act together.

^ I really like him and admire him too. Pity he's on the short side, as we live in the age of tennis giants, I do think that is a disadvantage.  Courts are so slow being nippy on your feet doesn't give you the same advantage it used to.
