Emma Raducanu

Let us hope that she can play well in the FO but I think that it is too soon to see any benefits from rest or improving strength. Young body do repair quickly so we will see progress in Birmingham hopefully.

Too much hope in there! It was poor language, sorry.

I think that is true she needs to work on fitness definately body strength. It is a difficult one to balance fitness with development of game by competing. The latter is her pashion so she wants that most.
It's understandable that she just wants to compete but, as other top players including Andy, have found out, talent alone isn't enough.  This is why so many young hopefuls sink once they start to play on the Tour and realise all the hard work they have to do if they have any hope of getting to or near the top and staying there.

haha

Tim Henman says she should appoint a permanent coach in time for the FO  - I thought we all knew that.

We did!  However the way she's gone through coaches she might be lucky to get one by then.

That did cross my mind but I'm sure he can find somebody else who's easier to please.  He might not be into coaching women anyway.

Reasonably OK in the circumstance thanks. Smile

True, Jamie mightn't coach women players
& as you say, Emma might have trouble getting a coach to take her on, her reputation around the coaching world must be somewhat iffy!

How nice to have such faith in oneself!  I just hope she doesn't come seriously unstuck.

The good news is that Emma has pronounced herself fit for RG where she'll play a qualifier in round 1.
