Emma Raducanu

Well Camilla made about 40 UEs in the first set, but still won it. You could say the more experienced player (and current tournament champion) shone through, but Emma has to be really disappointed with it imo. Doesn't look ready to put up much of a USO defence at the moment.

Emma has not been doing well at all. Maybe fame has got to her.

Emma is scheduled to play Serena Williams in the first round of Cincinnati.

That is maybe good news - an exciting match to focus on rather than dwell on recent results

Most of the attention will be on Serena which should help Emma.

Yes, it's a win-win for Emma, really—if she wins, she's won (against the greatest of all time), and if she loses, everyone will be thrilled that Serena's won!

If anyone's interested, Amazon are showing a documentary about Emma winning the USO.  It's called "Emma: Living her dream".

Good win, but Williams performance was woeful.

^ As they say, a win is a win - and I can't Serena anyway, so very pleased with the result.

Yes and she handled the situation well - made sure she gave away nothing for free, and kept the pressure on by moving Serena around.
