I did note that she has all the same irritating 'habits' evident in her game as did Andy when he was younger.
These include the missed smash to finish a rally when it seems impossible not to secure the point, the double faults at the wrong time, playing the ball too short to allow the opponent to take charge and there is the sudden brilliant shot that seemed impossible appearing as if from nowhere.
Do others see the same?
I thought that she looked really confident today and the result followed. Not sure how her game will fare against Magda Linette though.

Yes I think that is fair. I was encouraged that she stayed in the fight when her opponent came back in the second set. Psychologically she could do with getting the elusive third win in a row. |

Medical time out for her opponent. Just looks totally deflated by the Emma onslaught. Perhaps it is a mental timeout? More likely strategic to disturb her opponent. I hate these as most do.
