Did anyone else have same thoughts at the end of that R2 AO match as I did?

When Andy was climbing into the top level he repeatedly went very close to some great wins but.......................
...............He would set up winning positions and failed to complete with awful shots where it looked as if it was harder to miss than win the point.

Last two points for Emma were just like that.  It looked like it was harder to miss and the result was a match loss. Very familiar.

She is still pretty good and seems to have come to terms with the pressure and the injuries. I am looking forward to more games to watch but please Emma none of the old Andy issues which made watching more stressful.

Not sure where she plays next but I say well done to Naomi C for her obvious input.

Only watched some of Emma's R1 match in Abu Dhabi when she played Marie Bouzkova, winning 6-4, 6-1.  Plays Ons Jabeur next.

Not surprisingly Emma was no match for Jabeur who defeated her 6-4, 6-1.

Emma has hired her coach from her junior days, Nick Cavaday - but how long is hit one going to last?

Despite losing against the world number one this has been a good couple of weeks for Emma. At times, her skill shone through. With the boost to her confidence let us all hope it continues.
