That's great well done  yay  Into the semi finals.

I'm glad she's doing better now.   Tursunov seems to be doing her some good, and also she may be feeling more relaxed now after her slide down the rankings.

The s/f match starts at - maybe - 7.20am this morning.  Ostapenko is a very good player, Emma will need to be at her very best to beat her.
I won't be able to watch but will check the result later in the day,
Good luck Emma, this is your chance to shine  cmon yeah yay

I'll say this again - she needs a good fitness trainer.

What a shame. Hope the injury not serious. But overall the trajectory seems good.

Pity yes, she was looking good for the final.

Sorry she was hurt, she couldn't possibly have continued with an injury like that.
She was doing so well in the match too.
Reaching the semi final is a great achievement and will give her confidence in her next tournament.

As a result of just getting to the SF Emma's ranking has gone up from No. 77 to No. 66.

^ This one sounds a hard match although I think that Harriet Dart beat Kasatkina recently.  I shall watch this one. It is also on Amazon Prime if you have trouble with freestreams-live. That has been known.

^ Again it is the '19 yr old Andy Murray' version of Emma where she misses the easiest shots usually needed to win a critical point.

She does look very good at times. Her oppenent is good defensively so Emma's winning plays need to be a little more decisive. However i can see a lot today to give cause for optimism that she will start to win more.

She played quite well on the whole so I'm sorry she lost.  She surely must be disappointed in her results, so far, this year.

Emma has pulled out of the Transylvania Open citing a wrist injury.

Another wrist injury?
That's the end of her season too  - shame.

It suppose it could be as there are only a handful of tournaments left, but she might play in the Billie Jean King Cup finals which are being held in the Emirates Arena in Glasgow from 8 - 13 November.

It's the fact that she's so prone to injury that's the worry, yet she got through the USO last year without any problems, which is rather strange.

I meant that that was the end of Emma's season apart from the Billie Jean Cup.  Hopefully she will take part in that.

In some ways winning the USO last year didn't do her any good because so much has been expected of her this year.  If she'd been an "ordinary" player she has, in fact, done very well in 2022.

She is very injury prone I agree.  I don't have Twitter but there are some very harsh comments about her there, probably not tennis fans. They think she's in the wrong career entirely.
