1st set Jack 6-1.  Alcaraz's serve percentage is way down, and that isn't helping him.
2nd  set Alcaraz 6-0, so a complete turnaround of momentum with Jack notching up the UEs.
3rd set Jack was leading 5-2, Alcaraz fought back to 4-5, but Jack took the set and the match 6-4.

Plays Holger Rune in the final.

9.00pm INDIAN WELLS

Jack vs Holger Rune,

1st set Jack 6-2 in 29 minutes.  Rune is being completely outplayed atm,
Better from Rune, but Jack still dominated to win 6-2 and win his 1st Masters' 1000 title, becoming only the second British man to win the Indian Wells title after Cam Norrie in 2021 since it was founded in 1974.

Also takes his ranking up to world No. 7.

JACK v MENSIK
Despite Jack being 3-1 up in the first, Mensik went on to take it 7-2 in the TB.  Second went with serve, Mensik again taking it in the TB 7-3.  Mensik served 20 aces to Jack's 12.

At 19 Jakub Mensik is a very promising player.  Took Andy to three sets in Doha last year, all of them ending in tiebreaks, making it the longest match in the history of the tournament at 3 hrs 23 mins.

Hopefully Jack will take some comfort from the fact that Mensik went on to lift the title.

Despite his loss to Mensik, Jack's ranking has risen to World No. 6, after Casper Ruud, who who didn't play last week, drops points from reaching the semi-finals in Estoril during the same week last year, and as a result dips from No. 6 to No. 11.  Jack has no ranking points to defend in Monte Carlo, having gone out in R1 last year.

Meanwhile in doubles, Jack and Tomas Machac are through to R2 after defeating Sebastian Korda & Jordan Thomson 6-3, 7-6(4).

MC R3 - Jack vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina

Watched a replay without knowing the score - roller coaster of a match which ADF won 6-3, 6-7(6-8), 6-4, Jack fighting back from 3-1 down in the 2nd and 3rd sets, then served a double fault  when ADF had match point in the 3rd.
