Great to see that Colin & Ross got a good win 7-6 (1) 6-3 against the 3rd seeds Knowle & Brunstrom in Marseille.
45 ranking points - so that gets Ross from 523 up to around 420 in the rankings! Next round will be Draganja & M. Pavic, or Junaid & Marx - not names I know
Colin is defending 250 points here, as he and Bopanna won the title last year
You should know Pavic, played doubles rubber in GBR's Davis Cup tie with Croatia last September, lost to Colin and Andy.

I remembered Colin & Andy won, but not who they played (apart from Dodig)
I noticed there were two players called Pavic in qualifying, who could have played each other. The other one (Ante) got through to the main draw. Could meet Dan in 2nd round

Mate is the same year as Oli Golding, promising player.

Dan Smethurst won another Futures Final today - 2nd title, 5th final this year I think. MH or others can probably add more....

26 wins from his last 30 and and will rise to a new career high of around 310. With little to defend over the next couple of months it should only be a matter of time before he breaks the top 300. Not playing the British even this week though.
Another good week for young Luke Bambridge as well who made another semi-final, taking out three higher ranked players including two seeds.
Another final for Corrie who's had a good start to the year - but as he had an absolutely exceptional start to 2013 (similar to Smethurst's 2014 start) he is still falling down the rankings towards 400ish. He's defending large chunks though (13 at Bergamo, 18 for a title and 10 twice for two finals, I think).
Golding was thrashed 1&0 early this week - presumably still exhausted from the fixture congestion after all the delays, which combined with the exceptionally slow courts and several long matches would knacker anyone out.

James Ward and Dan Cox will be playing Indian Wells Qualifiers, but Dan Evans will not (pulled out of Marseille doubles with knee injury)

Is Evans confirmed? I thought pulling out of the doubles was precautionary.

According to British Tennis Forum (and Steven's table) he's not playing IW

Thanks for that. Shame for Dan just when he was doing well. Anyone know if that's why he suddenly went off the boil in that match at Cherbourg?

Could have been, I didn't even know he was injured.

Sounds like Ward's pulled out as well - still in Dubai and apparently his foot is bandaged up.
This is a huge shame, for both. Hopefully they can play Miami, although I think Dan's down for a challenger the same week as Miami qualies so isn't going to play anyway.
