Terrorist incidents

Yep, but less Agro if they get their facts wrong... most folks none the wiser.
I feel in this case, they got it right... love Sky news myself.

So it looks like a terrorist incident now. Borough market is 30 seconds walk from London Bridge. So the van hit pedestrians on the bridge, then 3 men were seen brandishing knives heading towards the market stabbing people at random. Now I hear gunshots were heard.

Oh, no - not again!  Off to London in a couple of weeks.  It does make me nervous, if I'm honest.
Me too. Going to Queens and seeing loads of friends in South London afterwards. Involves travelling through London Bridge and Waterloo.
As I was telling boogers, have already been present at one bombing at LB station too.

Ugh. Nutters in a van. Hardest kind of terrorist incident to protect against. Thankfully all three suspects were apparently shot dead within 8 minutes of the incident starting...

^ Yes, an incredibly quick response. Everyone's nerves in the security services must be really jangling now.

Horrible, BBH.  However, we just have to try to get on with things, despite these incidents.  Frown

May today:

"There is, to be frank, far too much tolerance of extremism in our society. That will require difficult and embarrassing conversations."

Piers Morgan today:

"It's the Wahhabist mosques & teaching that must be eradicated. "

I suspect Sam Harris would get behind that comment too. As a nation we can't be afraid talk about this freely.

The only way to stop terrorism is to stop war. Stop meddling in in other countries. Stop pretending you're doing it to 'help' people. How does bombing millions of innocent men, women and children help them? Stop selling arms to countries so they can slaughter their neighbours.
Of all the countries we have 'helped' over these past couple of decades, are any of them better off?
War makes rich people richer at an enormous cost to the ordinary people. Open your eyes people. Wars are 'all' about money! Nothing else.
