The caption states that Italian views were canvassed face-to-face prior to 2020 - how were the other countries surveyed in that time frame? It is odd though. Sweden seemed to cross over very early on too.

He came from humble beginnings and had many different jobs before becoming an actor. He set up a foundation for young Scots to encourage them to improve themselves and gain qualifications to enhance their employment opportunities.

He was a very good actor and diversified his film roles outside Bond.

He certainly made a success of himself and I admire that. Personally, I thought his acting was shocking.  As for a great Scot, LB I take it you mean he was for Scottish independence.

Very sad news indeed.  I always enjoyed his films because he was a really good actor.  He was a big Andy fan too, at one point anyway!

@althusser - I agree that The Untouchables was undoubtedly his best film.

There was more to Sean Connery that the Bond films his foundation has helped young Scots to further their education toward a brighter future.

I loved the guy, but I'm not too sad he's gone. He had a good innings and he's in a much better place now. He did alright for a guy who started off as a milkman!  Wink

He was always good as James Bond and he was a good actor altogether.  I don't care that he supported the SNP, what does that matter?
