Yes, I already read about that. Typical Pentagon guff I suspect, nicely timed as things hot up in the Ukraine again, although there is something about Putin that's definitely a little scary. He's a control freak for a start, and a pretty ruthless one at that, a good example being the time he shut off an entire neighbouring country's gas supply because they did something which displeased him. Also he has as much charisma as a block of ice. All of this though doesn't mean he has Aspergers, something the article makes very plain.

That really is so sad Linda, but he must have been a very clever three year old to get not only the door out of the apartment open but the door leading to the outside of the building as well. Sorry, but something here just doesn't sound right to me particularly as there was a very similar case in Scotland a few years ago where it eventually transpired that the 'grief-stricken' mother had in fact dumped the toddler outside on a freezing cold winter's night. He managed to walk a fair distance though before hypothermia set in and his body was found. I hope I'm wrong though because it only makes this story even more tragic.
RIP Elijah.

Aileen, there was another one really similar, in Edinburgh I think, very recently. Again the parent claimed the child had unlocked two doors and gone out.
Of course he hadn't.

@blueberryhill -
Yes there was one in Edinburgh last year where a toddler died two days after being severely physically abused by his mother, who then put his body in a suitcase and dumped it in woods at the back of her sister's house 20 miles away. She then called 999 to report her son missing to police, telling officers he had got out of bed and climbed onto a stool to unlock the front door of their home without her hearing anything. This resulted in a major search for the boy right along the coastline near where she lived, which involved police, the fire service, coastguard, mountain rescue crews and members of the public, but after two days had passed with no sign of him either dead or alive, the police became suspicious. Fortunately masts captured her mobile phone travelling from Edinburgh across the Forth Road Bridge to where her sister lived, so armed with that and some other pieces of evidence the police confronted her and she confessed to the crime, for which she was sentenced to prison for 11 years.

Neither have I Sabine, and it appals me anyway that any civilised country can still treat it's women as second-class citizens.

The case of the disappearance of Becky Watts has seemingly hit me quite hard. I've never felt such contempt and disgust for people who have committed a crime as I do now. I didn't even know the girl either. But knowing she was 2 years younger than me, and had her whole life ahead of her. I just have no words.

To clarify: I'm almost shaking with fury at the six ***** who did this to the defenseless girl who was probably terrified out of her wits.

I read that this morning. And there was a video of her granny speaking about it. So sad.
RIP Becky. I sincerely hope the culprit is found soon. The series of events doesn't seem to give much away.
Also came across an article about a 14 year old boy stabbed to death when he was cycling with a couple of friends. He died on the spot and his bicycle was stolen. What the hell is the world coming to.

Kids and they are kids grow up to fast these days and seem to be unaware of the danger around them.I know parents try to make them aware but kids think they know best. I feel so sad for the girls parents they must be heart broken. 7 people are being questioned most of them in their twenties. How can people be so cruel, I believe body parts have been found in the garden or in their houses. What does this tell us about the society we live in.
