The forum is very quiet.  Hope it doesn't die a death.  cmon yeah

Had my son's wedding the other weekend, and it was lovely!  If I can give you girls a tip - break in and stretch your heeled shoes by prancing around the house in them whilst wearing fluffy thick socks!  Works a treat!

Getting so autumnal in my neck of the woods.  Taking advantage of a nice day and hopefully giving the grass its last cut of the season.

Yes it's great that your son's wedding went well Smile Good idea re the shoes!  It's quite cool here too and there might be two cuts for the grass.

Many thanks! hug

I  have a battery powered lawn mower, MG.  Three years on, I think the battery is dying it'll probably cost me as much as the mower to replace it.  However, will worry about that next year.  Very Happy

Perhaps better buy replacement now - God knows what it might cost next year!

^ Not really.  It's having cancer and not knowing which way the wind will blow from one day to another. Cheery stuff, huh?

I'm sorry - I never knew that. Live each day to the full, as we all should anyhow. You never know the day or the hour and all that.

There's a lot people don't know.  Such is life.

I'm so sorry Elly, I haven't known you for very long, but I've always liked chatting with you.  I hope things will work out for you somehow, and life sometimes doesn't treat you/us very well does it.

Probably not that funny to most people.

Colleague: we're going to Southwark next week. Reading has changed to Titus Andronicus

Me: Ok, do we have a contingency plan for off-campus teaching in case of the tube strike?

Colleague: Not yet. Pie shop maybe?

How many fainting students are we going to have Think?

I guess that depends on how many students you can squeeze into a pie shop - or have I missed the point completely?

You have a little! Titus Andronicus has a particularly gruesome part involving some pies. I'll leave it at that because it is thoroughly disgusting! yuk Audience members tend to faint quite a lot during performances.

Thank you, because, probably mercifully from what I've heard about it, I've never read or watched this particular Shakespearean gem.
