Had family up from down south this week.  In deciding things to do, we went to old Peterhead Prison museum, which is in my neck of the woods.  Bearing in mind, this prison was used and full of inmates until only three years ago - and they were the worst of the worst.  Really 'bad' criminals.  Fascinating tour, including the 'dirty protest' cells, the cells some inmates were murdered in, and even speaking to an ex prison officer who was held on the roof of the prison by inmates, when the SAS were called in to diffuse the situation in 1987.  Really interesting stuff.  If you ever find yourself in the north east of Scotland looking for something interesting to do, I'd recommend it.

Did they have anything on the famous safecracker Johnny Ramensky who was recruited to the war effort?

Oh my gosh, yes!  A whole cell and a whole video dedicated to him.  He apparently spent 40 years of his life 'inside' - not all at once of course.  I didn't manage to catch all of the video - there were 8 of us, including my two wee nephews.  Funnily enough, my late father was a prison officer in Peterhead in the 60's.

Border Terriers, Joe.   They look so dark in colour when wee, but that'll change.

I hope they'll all stay well - the mother will be very busy!

All great, thanks, MG.  I tried to post a short video, but it didn't work - due to my lack of ability, am sure!  This is William…

^ Not sure how I'm going to part with them, MG.  They're all spoken for.  Crying or Very sad  'Charlie Bucket' is going to my nephews, so at least will be able to keep up with him...

It's great that you'll be able to follow the life of Charlie and it'll be interesting for you to see how he grows up.  But you'll have the other puppies for quite a while yet and it wouldn't really be possible for you to keep them all! lol

Just wanted to run this by anyone on here who feel they have some advice.  So - I started a new job, well a trial for a new job.  It interests me and I think I'm more than capable of delivering what the company needs.  Here's the thing…  The company is run by a family who are of a particular 'religious' persuasion.  They don't throw this in your face, but their employee handbook does state that they abide by 'Christian Values' and they have pulled members of staff up for 'taking the Lord's name in vain' so, clearly, you have to mind your P's and Q's if you want to work with them.   Summary - good job, chances of making good, but does it sit well?

Dilemma for me, is that I like what they're about from an employee standpoint, but I'm not sure whether I've got it in me to toe a party line, or, indeed, to wonder what they'd do if a person who didn't follow a Christian Faith applied for a job with them.  It's one of those personal dilemmas.  Any views?
