I think we would all be glad to see the back of it and I'm sorry I got sucked in. In no way would I accuse Rafa or anyone else of taking drugs unless I had evidence. I think he took off time off under false pretences and that was my argument with Gangsta, but that does not necessarily involve drug taking. To me that is cheating and that is what I was discussing with Gangsta but his idea of cheating and mine are poles apart and that was mostly what our exchange was about. I think we managed to disagree without insulting each other. To me the only difference between Gangsta and Masaka in this exchange is the age difference. Otherwise one was as bad as the other.
Yes, we did have an argument and it was interesting to see our different perceptions of cheating, but as I said above, I'm done with Masaka and her claims, until she comes up with suitable evidence I shall ignore them, wherever possible.

Let's just agree to disagree, and I apologise to Masaka for any offence caused.

At this time of the day on a Monday morning most 16-year olds I know are either at school, college, work, sick, holiday or on the dole.

Careful Gangsta. FCR's post is either bait or a non sequitur. Whichever, it is better ignored.

Indeed, thanks for the warning, I replied politely though

Well done. My warning wasn't needed which is just as well as it was too late.

I am never going to completely agree with this. Many of my responses were triggered, by increasing frustration. I had held my tongue for a long time. However what I do accept is that being the adult, like it or not it was my responsibility to temper my responses accordingly. And that is as close to an apology as I am capable of giving today.
In my own defence the comments about parenting, and parenting skills is one that most teachers and people of a certain age, have between themselves on a regular basis. It falls into the "don't policemen look young these days", and wanting to give the majority of politicians a short sharp smack, categories.
Equally it is recognised that about 50% of the population demonstrate autistic traits - ie most males.
Either way, more for the sake of Mark than anything I am going to bale out for a bit and let things calm down. Although I will probably allow myself to make a small comment on the appropriate thread, (The D.I.T. thread, rather than the other players thread), given the form my comment is inevitably going to take, after this evenings final. Perhaps any other converts could join me?

With respect, Masaka.. I think you're painting with a rather broad brush by these comments. I hope you enjoyed your job.
btw.. I'm older than you, have many years' experience in the teaching profession with students from JK up to Grade 12,
specialising in working with children and adults with special needs - both physical and cognitive. I also have a son with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder.)

That's my lad, too. He was diagnosed at age 6, he's now 21. He was also diagnosed just 3 years ago with ADDI (inattentive type.)
How old were you when diagnosed, Joe?
