Having just read the most recent posts, I'm appalled at the levels of acrimony which sometimes appear on this forum generally - and it seems to be getting worse. I thought MW was supposed to be a friendly website, not a battlefield. It's occasions like these that make me seriously consider leaving the forum.

Yes Aileen, though it reminds me more of a gang of bullys in a school playground. Not nice!

Me too, all the bitching and sniping is the reason I don't post as much, I go onto a thread expecting to read about Andy or other tennis related items and have to read through pages of drivel just to find a snippet of information that is actually related to the thread topic. If folks want to bitch at each other start a thread for that alone and then the rest of us that don't want to read it don't have to. That's my bitch for the day.

I'm sorry you guys feel this way but it should be noted that this particular thread is meant to contain the ugly side of MW and keep it away from the rest of the forum. I'd recommend to everyone who feels uncomfortable with exchanges to try and avoid reading this thread. It usually does not contain anything of value anyway.

The wording used seems to suggest that it is a group of members unfairly 'bullying' another. Untrue. While indeed various members are are responding to one member in this case, the initial antagonism has come from the one. So please use another analogy instead of painting those involved as bullies.

not that i would be missed but i am comming here less and less. for the most part it is not a friendly website.some of the language is vile there doesn't seem to be a filter by which some of the people here govern themselves.

The forum represents the public and the mixed opinions and attitudes that come with that. Do you really want a forum that comes down hard with censorship?
Our more liberal approach is one of the things that sets us apart from the rest. Believe me that when you become a member of certain other forums that have strong censorship, it really starts to feel stale fast.

Well can I point out that if you're now finding it a less friendly website then maybe the problem isn't with some of the 'older' members? There are only a handful of people on here that I don't react well to, and for the most part those of us that don't get on work round that or avoid each other.
This current conversation came about because of the unstinting antagonism produced by one person, which then riled up enough people, many of whom are proof that the statements made by that member are to some extent wrong.
I'm sorry you're coming less and less, your comments are always welcome and enjoyable

Please don't assume that HenmAn is my pretty boy, thank you, and a world ranking of 4, 6 grand slam semi-finals and 15 ATP titles wasn't "very far on the tour" in your opinion. Please get things into perspective and take your blinkers off. Pardon me, but Tim is on TV now and I appreciate his expertise more than yours AND his command of the English language.
Dude!!! Pull the cork out!!! My English is just fine thank you and I'll abuse it when and how I please!!! HenmAn was a pusher who's only claim to fame as a tennis player, was that he was the "only" Brit who could swing a racket at the time, although it seemed more like he was chopping trees than strategic gamesmenship!!! Time for your tea!!! Sure he's on TV who else you got?

Right I am going to reply to all the comments being made about me and I do not intend to say anthing further. Do you know why I was antagonistic as you say, not me, why because certain people on this forum do not like my points of view. But when it comes to it you are a gang of bullies. Obviously you are all old members of this forum (That is all to obvious). After I posted certain people became nasty and even egged
on someone who strongly was against what he said. This was done deliberately then it became a free for all. As for a certain person she has tried once already to get me banned because she obviously did not like me. She put up a list the other day. I do not think she is as inocent as people think. It appears as though she thinks butter would not melt in her mouth. You all seem to think people are not entitled to their points of view fair enough. But at least I have the courage of my convictions and I certainly do not run away from an arguement or try to have other people banned. I have already to told this person
I am not interested in anything she has to say. Maybe I should make my avatar a little devil. You have already made up your minds about me. How sad.

That's understating it. If we ever all met up, there'd be a bloody brawl.
